FAQs

  • If your dog struggles with fear, anxiety, reactivity, aggression, or other complex behavior challenges, consulting dives deeper than basic training. We focus on understanding why the behavior is happening and how to create lasting change, not just quick fixes.

  • Every dog (and human) is unique. While some clients see initial changes within weeks, complex behavior challenges often require 3–6+ months for meaningful, sustainable results. Remember, progress isn’t always linear. And in rare incidence that your dog is not capable of behavior change, we will ensure to not give false hope or promises, but rather we will give your honest assessments, options and support to help you navigate.

  • Yes! I offer in-person sessions at our Fort Collins, CO facility, in-home sessions in Laramie, WY, and virtual consultations worldwide. Virtual sessions are equally , if not even more effective for most behavior challenges.

  • The Initial Consultation can be booked as a standalone session and will provide an evaluation, and initial plan, While you will gain great understanding and a foundation plan, additional session will be required to achieve behavior change. Ongoing support is offered through packages to ensure consistency, accountability, and the best chance of achieving meaningful change. Once a client has committed to an Initial Session AND at least one support package, you can purchase single follow-up sessions.

Additionally, if you looking for immediate guidance and feedback on a situation or event you have experienced with your dog and are unsure what to do?

We provide emergency virtual consultations to help you navigate, typically within 48 hours of contact. In these sessions, we will listen to your situation, gather a history of your dog and their behavior, evaluate it, provide an honest prognosis, and discuss options with you. • Many clients continue for multiple packages of their chosen tier to achieve their goals. We'll evaluate progress at the end of each package and decide whether continuing makes sense.

  • I use evidence-based, positive reinforcement strategies rooted in science and compassion. The focus is on understanding the root causes of behavior and building trust and emotional safety for your dog—never methods or tools that illicit fear, discomfort, pain, or intimidation.

  • Absolutely. I specialize in complex cases, including fear, reactivity, and aggression. My approach is humane, safe, and tailored to the unique needs of both you and your dog. If your dog has a bite history to other animals or people, I will do some additional screening to ensure that I am the right fit for you and you dog.

  • While I can not and will not guarantee specific outcomes (no ethical behavior consultant can), I can promise a deep commitment to guiding you toward success. Your dog’s progress depends on their previous experiences, genetic tendencies, innate nature as well as consistency, time, and your dedication—but I’ll be with you every step of the way.
